HC Band Disney trip 2020 - interest survey
We are considering a band trip to Walt Disney World over spring break 2020, and need to find out how much interest there is before moving forward. This would be a concert band trip (not marching band – all band members are invited!) Please help by responding to the brief survey below – thank you!
The trip would not be required, and nothing has been finalized yet. Participating students would need to cover their entire trip cost, approximately $1,200 (depending on how many students go). Dates would be March 30-April 4, 2020, and the itinerary would include a clinic by a professional Disney musician, all meals, transportation, hotel, and Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. Students would need to be in good standing (current on fees, etc.) with the band program to attend.
As you consider this, we also want you to be aware that, due to increasing costs, the budget committee will propose an increase in marching band fees of $50-75 for fall 2019.
Finally, we’d also need a parent to be the parent liaison for the trip – someone to be the contact person between the tour operator, parents, and band directors as we organize it. If you’d be willing to do this, please let us know in the comment box or by emailing jenny.minier@gmail.com
