You may have heard that our friends, Laura, Adrian, Hunter & Dylan Fitch, are facing a serious challenge. Dylan has been diagnosed with Nodular Lymphocyte-Predominant Hodgkin lymphoma. Dylan was just settling into his Freshman year at OSU when he got sick. He has started treatment at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. His treatment will take several months, lasting into the spring.
Laura is a small business owner. Unlike many of us who are employed by larger companies, she does not have paid sick time. If she is not working, she is forgoing income. Like any parent, it is important for her to be able to be with Dylan during his treatment. In addition to lost income, there will be costs related to treatment and being in the hospital.
So many friends and community members are asking what they can do to help. There will be a number of efforts to support the family over the coming months. One way to help is to donate to this campaign to help ensure that Laura, Adrian, and Hunter can be with Dylan during his treatment and to help offset medical and other expenses.
