Spring Concert- Thursday, April 29

We are excited to perform our Spring Concert this Thursday, April 29 for an in-person audience. In order to allow for this, we have divided the concert into two parts.

  • 6:30 pm- Band Two, Combined Band Three and Four
  • 7:45 pm- Band One, Small Ensembles

IMPORTANT: We are having to pre-sell tickets to ensure social distancing protocols set by HEB ISD are met. Here is the link: ldbellband.ludus.com Each seating (6:30 and 7:45) will be a separate ticket. Tickets are $5. Audience members must wear a mask.

  • Call time for combined Band Three and Four is 5:30 pm on stage. Attire is formal concert uniform
  • Call time for Band Two is 5:45 pm in the Band Hall. Attire is formal concert uniform
  • Call time for Band One is 7:15 in the Band Hall. Attire is formal concert uniform

Summer Band Camps

Each Summer, many colleges and universities offer music camps. These camps are a great opportunity for students to continue to develop their skills over the Summer and learn from some of the country's best educators. 2020-21 Band Celebration- Saturday, May 15

We will be having a Band Celebration (typically known as Band Banquet) on Saturday, May 15 from 7 pm-10 pm at Pennington Field. There will be awards, a senior slideshow, a dee-jay and dancing, and more! Students can dress to impress or be a little more casual. Students must abide by school dress code and may not wear heels (because of the turf). All attendees must wear a mask.

Tickets to the Band Celebration are $20. Please read the following information about tickets carefully!

  • Band members who were a member of the 2019-20 L.D. Bell Band and have a zero balance on their band fees for all years will receive a complimentary ticket.
  • Band members who were NOT in band last year will need to purchase a ticket. This is because we did not include the Band Celebration in this year's budget.You must have a zero balance on this year's band fees in order to purchase a ticket.
  • Band students may bring a non-band guest. Guest tickets are $30.
  • Tickets may be picked up or purchased on Tuesday, April 27 and Thursday, April 29 from 3-5 pm in the hallway between the Band Hall and Percussion Room.

Solo & Ensemble- Saturday, May 1

All L.D. Bell Band students (virtual and traditional) are participating in Solo & Ensemble contest this Saturday, May 1. The schedule will be made available early this week.

  • Students should plan to warm up at home and arrive at least 20-30 minutes prior to their assigned performance time to check into their room.
  • Students will need to have a copy of their music (full score for ensembles or a copy of their solo) for the judge with their name on it and measures numbered.
  • Students should dress in a professional manner (no jeans, tennis shoes, or t-shirts).
  • This performance is a significant portion of the six weeks band grade so please make sure you are prepared and professional.
