Sat, Oct 16 - Unionville Competition Schedule is below. With the rain in the forecast tomorrow, any changes will be communicated via REMIND. Parents and friends are welcome to attend the competition to support GVHS. Tickets sold at the gate.

Sun, Oct 24 - SENIOR BAND RECOGNITION DAY @ GVHS Stadium - "The Moe" This event is required for all band members. We will perform our show and recognize our band seniors in a special ceremony. 11:00am - Band members report 11:30am - Senior band parents report 11:45am - All other spectators welcome to arrive 12:00pm - Senior Recognition Ceremony and Performance of Show 12:45pm (approx) - Dismissed

Band students who have purchased a pink shirt for the Pink-Out game may wear it in place of their band shirt under the uniform. Sat, Oct 9 - Penncrest Band Fest One of our most fun events of the year is this Saturday, the Penncrest Band Fest. Times are below. We encourage family & friends to come cheer us on from the stands! Message from Dr. Selfridge
I was so proud of our students' performance at the football game and Ridley Competition this weekend! We achieved our highest-ever score for a first competition of the season!! As we continue through the season, we are going to continue to work to make our show the best it can be. But remember, no judge's score can determine the pride we have in the knowledge that we are working hard and constantly improving for ourselves. Listening to the comments of the judges can be very helpful in improving our performance, so I encourage students to listen to some of the judge's comments here, and watch our performance here. (Be sure to subscribe to the GVHS YouTube channel)
Deadline for our two Eagles fundraisers is today! See details here. Football Game and FREE DINNER this Friday, Oct 1. Prior to our away game this Friday, free Chick-fil-A dinner is being provided for the band by Valley Point Church. Dinner will be served between 3:30-4:15pm, and will include Chick-fil-A, Mac & Cheese, and dessert. Students will grab & go and eat outside. Buses will depart at 5:30pm Spring Music Trip to California - Sign Up by Oct 1. The website is: http://www.educationaldiscoverytours.com/ our code is GARN22D5P.
