This form is intended for those individuals who wish to be part of the leadership team for the Mars High School Marching Band 2023. All potential applicants must be in grades 10-12 and have participated in the marching band/colorguard for at least one year to be considered for a student leadership position.
In order to become part of the leadership team for the upcoming marching band season, the candidates should have demonstrated leadership skills, musicianship, and a personal responsibility throughout their past experiences within the program. Any past behaviors, both positive and negative, will be considered when making leadership selections.
As part of the leadership team, members are expected to be leaders amongst their peers. They are to lead by example, and to help motivate those around them. Examples of leadership responsibilities include:
1. Be prepared for every rehearsal and performance(i.e., knowing your material, bring all equipment needed, showing up on time, etc.)
2. Being a positive role model for your peers
3. Hold yourself and those around you to a high standard of professionalism at all times
If selected to be part of the leadership team, you will be expected to uphold these responsibilities. Failure to do so could result in the removal of a leadership position. Leadership positions will be selected by the Marching Band staff and will be announced in a timely manner. Deadline to apply is May 1st, 2023.
