Band Buzz December 5, 2021
Falcon Band and Color Guard
From Your Directors
We have been asked to find 4 volunteers to aid in distributing lunches for the Region Clinic and Concert next Saturday. We will be distributing 257 lunches and need a few hands to help with this. If your child makes region band, it would be much appreciated if you could volunteer for a few hours on Saturday, December 11th. The exact times will be decided soon but it should start around 11:00 and be done around 1:45. Please email Chris McGarity if you can help serve. cmcgar1@sbcglobal.net

Winter Concert Sweet Treats, Poinsettias, and Butter Braids
After Concert Desserts:
Please sign up to bring a sweet treat to share for our Winter concerts. Anything that is self serve: cookies, brownies, cupcakes, etc. will be appreciated. Store bought or homemade are both great! Please bring your dessert outside the PAC prior to your child's performance.
We will also need volunteers for set up, during each of the 3 concerts and for clean up. We will take turns so that no one misses their child's performance.
Thank you! Cindy Snapka
Poinsettia Set Up and Distribution.
Plants should be delivered by 1:00. We need 5 to 8 people to help us unpack them. Please sign up below if you can help us.
There are only about 30 people who ordered about 100 plants. This should go very fast. If you ordered plants, please consider volunteering to help everything go easier.
Thank you, Lisa Russell

Poinsettia Pick Up after the Concert (you will line up for check out)
Butterbraid Pick up will be in the lobby near the desserts (you may want to bring a cooler or bag if you have a large order. This is a frozen item.)
Winter Spiritwear
Just in time for gift giving and cooler weather! Check out the NEW zip-up hoodie design! Or, maybe you prefer the original "Lake" hoodie. Either way, orders are due by Monday, December 6th. Cash or check only. Please print out the attached order form and either deliver to my house or put in the booster club lock box in the band hall. We are hoping to be able to deliver before winter break (fingers crossed).

Concert Uniform Reminders
Concert Uniforms
Girls will need a pair of back flats or dress shoes with heels no higher than 2”.
Boys will need to provide his own white dress shirt or tuxedo shirt, black bow-tie and cummerbund, and black dress shoes and socks. Please note we do have some new white tuxedo shirts that were not used in previous years that the boys may use if they so choose and if we have their size.
Note on alterations: We will NOT have a tailor come in to do any hemming of the boys pants this year. If your student needs his pants hem adjusted, you may take them to a tailor at your own expense to have them done, we just ask that the pants material not be cut when hemming.
Concert Season gets underway in early December - the Full Orchestra Winter Concert is December 8 and the Band Winter Concert is December 9 - and everyone will need to have their full concert uniform completed by then.
Note for Percussion Ensemble Members: Those participating in the Percussion Ensemble concert in March will need black dress shirts. Although that is still a ways off, it might be easier to find a black dress shirt now during the holiday season than next spring.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
