Playing a leadership role for Broadway Night gives you the opportunity to collaborate with other students and build your leadership skills.  In addition, you have the opportunity to earn community service hours! The following is a list of the leadership production roles that need to be filled for this year’s BWN production, as well as the associated responsibilities.  

ALL STUDENT LEADERS must:
-Attend virtual production team meetings (schedule dependent on their role)
-Arrive early for all all rehearsals and performances, and make sure attendance and practice notes are documented
-Keep a positive attitude throughout the rehearsal process and performances
-Serve as a leader for entire company of BWN
-Be an example of good rehearsal and performance work ethic and etiquette.

BWN 2019-20 Leadership Application Role Definitions and Responsibilities:

Serve as a leader for entire company of BWN

IN ORDER TO PLAY ONE OF THESE STUDENT LEADERSHIP ROLES YOU MAY or MAY NOT BE THE CAST, HOWEVER MUSICAL DIRECTORS WILL NOT BE IN THE NUMBER THEY ARE DIRECTING:

HS Musical Director (Two  per  number) or Pyramid  Musical Director (Two  per Pyramid number)  Musical Directors roles you MUST be in the cast.
Maintains all organizational tasks and prep to keep the rehearsals and show running at all times, as well as making sure logistics and blocking for the number are organized and documented.

NOTE: There will be 2 HS musical directors  per number.  Pyramid  Musical Directors need to be available for Elementary rehearsals most likely Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Assists the Creative  Directors for the number by:
Takes attendance at all rehearsals
Assists in organization of the musical numbers and scenes.
Records blocking notation in the script, including literally hitting record for the session.
Updates cast on important information for that specific number
Works to make sure rehearsals are running on time.
Help direct performers to their designated virtual rehearsal room.
Assists with running sectionals if needed.

Dance Captains
Assists Professional Choreographer with modeling movement at all rehearsals
Record blocking/choreography in the script
Help by running music for rehearsal (when applicable)

Publicity Manager (3)
Advertises the show through various forms of Social Media
Organizes, creates media, and runs the trivia drawing for SLHS students on Seahawk Scoop.
Organizes media clips to release on virtual platforms to promote the show.
Creates posters for social media & to hang in the community.
Prepares school wide announcements for Seahawk Scoop.
Assists with all ‘BWN Break a Leg Grams’ before the Show
