This week’s game will be our first away game in La Porte at 301 E Fairmont Pkwy, 77571. As with all of our events, we will provide bus transportation. Students may drive themselves or be dropped off/picked up by a parent providing an alternate travel form has been turned in by Thursday. Students must be able to arrive at the stadium by 6:00 PM. The alternate travel form can be located in the button below.
Don't forget the Mattress Fundraiser Zoom meeting. Tuesday, August 31 at 7:00. $5 for every parent or adult in attendance up to $500. Must have camera on. The Zoom meeting address is:

If you/your child takes private lessons from a CCISD lesson instructor, or is interested in taking private lessons, please fill out the private lesson enrollment form that can be found at the link below and send it in with a check/cash for the $10 enrollment fee. We are fortunate to have some of the best private lesson instruction staff in the Houston area. If you/your child is not already in lessons, please consider it.

Away Game Volunteers Needed
Here we go! Our first away game this Friday against the LaPorte Bulldogs at the Bulldog Stadium in La Porte. Kickoff is at 7:00pm.
We need chaperones to help with game meals at the HS, chaperones to ride the buses, chaperones to help fill water jugs in the stands, chaperones to help with the halftime action team (HAT), chaperones to help with wash clothes after half time and there are other areas that will arise. Look for my next email and Jotform to sign up. If you ever suspect that you missed my email or displaced it, then the current Jotform is always posted on the Home page of the website each Sunday night at: clhsband.org. Many hands lighten the load!

Key Event #2: Mattress Fundraiser Virtual Meeting Tuesday, 8/31 at 7PM
Thanks to Ben Marsh for coming to our last booster meeting and explaining what this fundraiser is all about. Many had conflicts and could not attend our booster meeting. Ben has offered to hold a VIRTUAL meeting on Zoom and is prepared to give the band an incentive:

Marching Show Props Building Day
Many thanks to the volunteers that helped with materials purchase, preparation, transportation, and construction at our props building day: Jennifer and Greg Aber, Shane Gordon, Landy Haile, Rob Hirsh, Greg Shurtz, John Soisson, and Mana Vautier. After about 5-6 hours, all twelve of the panels were completed! Some enhancements may be added later, but the plan is to bring them to the next game!
